Bruce Sambell, (director of Ausyfish) has been involved with fish at a commercial level for 30 years. His role as industry consultant has provided cross sector experience at many levels. Sound advice is available to existing industry participants and especially those considering entering this aquaculture field.

Over the years that Australian native fish culture has developed considerable experience has been gained.  As a service to our customers this knowledge can be made available.  If you are interested in becoming involved in areas of aquaculture that we have experience in we can offer a consulting service over the phone, on our farm,  or on your farm, . . .   anywhere.   

Rates for this service are; $200per hour for the first two hours, then $80 per hour. For Aquaculture Association of Queensland members, $100  per hour for the first two hours, then $50 per hour.  Plus expenses, travel etc.      

Ausyfish regularly use methods of culture and production that are in so many ways unique to Australia's special fishes.  The farm is often visited by researchers and industry members when information exchanges take place.  Our experience is limited to our own exposure to the species we produce and have been involved in developing. 

Some of these species had never been produced before and some are still only produced by Ausyfish.  Others will lend themselves to the methods already used by Ausyfish.   We are also well aware of other people who may have better expertise in some areas than ourselves.  We will often refer you to these people.

We can also put you in touch with industry members who share similar interests.  Artificial induction (hormone induction) of Silver Perch and Jade perch and Golden perch are examples of part of this service.
